15-year-old Boy Docked Over Alleged Theft Of Cable Wires In Osun

A 15-year-old boy, Ayo Oladele, was on Thursday brought before an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court in Osun over the alleged theft of cable wires valued at about N300, 000.
He said the offences committed contravened Sections 516 and 390 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of theft and conspiracy.
Counsel to the accused, Mr Najite Okobie, prayed the court to admit his client to bail, in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olubukola Olowolagba, granted the accused person bail in the sum of N200, 000 and two sureties in like sum.
Olowolagba said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, with evidence of tax payment and two passport-sized photographs attached with an affidavit of means.
The case was adjourned till Sept.19, for mention. (NAN)
