Islamist group, Boko Haram, has carried out an attack in Ngouboua village in Chad near the Nigerian border killing four people in the process, while 14 others sustained injuries.

President of Chad, Idriss Deby
A security source in the Chadian capital N’Djamena, told the AFP that the attackers were women and they detonated two bombs during the attack.

“The two women suicide bombers and two civilians died in the blast,” the source said on condition of anonymity.

“I can confirm that there was an attack in Ngouboua,” said national police spokesman Paul Manga told Yahoo news. According to Jerusalem Post, Ngouboua is home to displaced Chadians as well as Nigerian refugees who have fled the violence in Boko
Haram’s strongholds in North East Nigeria, and
the insurgents have attacked it several times in
the past year. The deadliest attack on Chad took place on October 10, when three suicide attacks at Baga
Sola killed 41 people, according to the Chadian government.

It will be recalled that Kalzeube Deubet, the
prime minister of Chad, on June 19 announced
that the government of Chad would start
rounding up of foreigners. Deubet made the remark after Boko Haram terrorists launched an attack in N’Djamena .

In a related development, Cameroonian authorities have ordered the closure of all mosques and Islamic centres in the northern.parts of the country.

The decision was taken due to security concerns, following several terror attacks in the region occasioned by the country’s war against Boko Haram.
