Nemesis caught up with a middle aged woman, Deaconess Abioye Olusola, along Plaza road, Sango in Ado Odo/ Ota local government area of the state for making a false claim.
She was arrested by officials of the Nigeria
Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC),
Ogun state Command, at the Primary Health
Centre (PHC), Joju area in Sango Ota over false
possession of twins.

Centre for immunization (BCG) for the twins
baby when the officials, through their
investigation as regards her antenatal history,
discovered she could not be the mother of the

According to a statement released by the
command and signed by its spokesman, Kareem
Olanrewaju, it was stated that from their
observation, there was no blood stain nor fluid
from the woman’s breast to ascertain her
maternal claim of the twins baby.
The corps officials, upon sensing a foul play,
moved into the hospital to arrest the woman and
as well take possession of the two babies while
preliminary investigation commenced

In her statement, the suspect claimed to have
given birth to the infants on October 20, 2015 at
about 4.00 am in Port Harcourt, Rivers state and
embarked on her journey to Ota in Ogun state at
7:00 am.

She also disclosed that she attended her
antenatal at one private hospital called ‘Celica
Herbal Hospital’, located in Ibadan, Oyo state,
adding that she registered with on Dr Niyi about
10 months ago.

The interrogation of her husband showed
inconsistence with their statements.
The man claimed the paternity of the baby, but
provided conflicting information on both the date
and venue as stated by his wife.

While the woman claimed that she gave birth to
the twins baby at Port Harcourt,Rivers state on
October 20, her husband said she delivered the
baby at Ibadan, Oyo state October 29, 2015.
The state Civil Defence PRO, Mr Kareem
Olanrewaju said the case has been reported at
NSCDC, Ota Division and the suspect has been
arrested with the two babies taken into custody
pending the outcome of their investigation.
Kareem explained that if not for the promptness
of his men, the woman would have escaped with
the baby, having become suspicious and not
comfortable with the way she was being

has been trasferred to the Nigeria Police Force,
Ota Division for further investigations.
